1975 Gibson J-55 Natural
Here we have a really cool and unique vintage piece. These were reissued in 1973 up until the transition to Nashville.
The hilarious thing is that it couldn't be further from the original J-55 introduced in 1939. Features a 3 piece maple neck, laminate arched mahogany back & sides, spruce top and a cool batwing guard. There is a repaired crack on the top near the sound hole and pick guard. The guitar has light play wear. The finish has minor checking and the binding has very minor blemishes. The back of the body has very light buckle rash. The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are small with minimal play wear. It sounds like a total cannon - not what you'd expect from a laminate B&S guitar at all. Feel free to email me with any questions!
