String identification using ball end colors
I'm trying to replace the strings on a guitar that I bought recently. I liked them very much but I'm having trouble identifying the brand.
The set which was on the guitar had black ball ends for the 1st and 2nd strings, silver ball ends for the 3rd and 4th and gold ball ends for the 5th and 6th. To this point I've used Martin, D'Addario, DR, GHS, Pyramid, Curt Mangan and Thomastik-Infeld strings on my guitars and haven't seen this ball end color combination before. Any idea what they might be? |

a SWAG
How about calling one of the string-only vendors (like 'Just Strings' and 'Strings by Mail') and pose the question. They may, or may not, be monitoring forums.

Probably D'Addario XS strings.

The D'Addario strings I have used had a different color ball for each string.

Probably not XS. Straight from the garbage (actually, just changed string a little while ago)
