I have a 2014 J-45 Custom Rosewood and it is an amazing guitar. Both my sone and I think it is our favorite out of the acoustics I own. Enjoy your glorious new guitar.

Congrats. I just got a J-45 Custom Shop as well with bear claw Engelmann and Koa. Gibson Custom Shop acoustics are wonderful guitars.

Well, congratulations to you, sir that sounds like a beautiful instrument. And I agree, the Gibson custom shop does amazing work, this guitar just sings and sustains forever. It's as loud as my HD28, but has more shimmer on top and a beautifully balanced bass. And thanks folks, I appreciate the nice comments.

Fantastic photo's of a very beautiful guitar indeed. I just got the new Gibson Custom Songwriter EC Ebony. It is also a rosewood/sitka Gibson with custom shop attention to detail. Granted my Songwriter is not a J45 in scale or other appointments but it is an excellent instrument. I compared it to my Martin HDC-28 and I think I actually prefer the Gibson. (which surprises me since I am a sucker for a classic Martin "voice") The Gibson Custom is just that good.

That is certainly one of the more blinged out takes on a J45 that I have seen.
You do realize though there is no such thing as "Gibson forward shifted X bracing". Bozeman offers two bracing footprints which have nothing to do with their position in relation to the soundhole. That is a Martin thing. One bracing pattern is known as the "AJ" stye which has a wider angle than the Standard X bracing. Your guitar has the former so the same as most CS Gibsons as well as several off the shelf offerings such as the J35 and J45 TV.

Thank you for clearing that up zombywoof. I did not realize.

Wow - That's really beautiful. Congratulations! I like the historic looking headstock inlay on that one and the finish looks a lot like my McKnight!

That awesome, and thanks pdx. I hope you enjoy yours for many years to come. Mine is in the shop, getting the electronics removed.

Thanks JR! I love that inlay too, man. It's more stylized than some of the other FP inlays I have seen from Gibson, but that is what I like! And wow, that McKnight looks like a special instrument, I would love a hollowbody like that, I do not currently own one.

Thanks Groberts, and I think Songwriters are beautiful guitars, especially custom shop variations, and a Songwriter (and a southern jumbo) are both in my next 4-5 purchases list.

Love it. I became a huge fan of Gibson acoustics later in life. That is a fine looking guitar. Congrats!
