Default Bourgeois 00 Coupe 12 Fret / White Spruce & Koa

SOLD Pending Funds.

Up for offer only on AGF: Drop-dead gorgeous Bourgeois 00 Coupe (12 fret) with an incredible combination of white spruce and straight grain koa back and sides. An absolute killer combo and immaculate build by Dana. This guitar sounds amazing and exudes class all day long.

Very very clean, no dings of any sort. No fret wear. The original owner was a collector and had the pickguard professionally removed. They did a great job as there is no record of it ever being there. I purchased a replacement from Bourgeois (never installed as I prefer the look without) and will be including that with the sale. I also upgraded the bridge pins to fossilized mammoth pins, which are included with the sale. I will include the ones that came with the guitar as well, however they are a bit goofy honestly.

For those of you not familiar with White Spruce here is some info James at Bourgeois provided:

"White Spruce is really fantastic stuff with the delicacy of European Spruces and much of the headroom of Adirondack. The top on your guitar is genetically the same species as the various Silver Spruces of Europe and particularly the Alps. White Spruce shares this same genetic makeup, but has been grown domestically in the High Sierra range. The Sierra grown “Silvers" are often stiffer soundboards and can accommodate higher intensity playing compared to their articulate and subtly nuanced brothers and sisters grown in the Alps. When used in a Bourgeois guitar, Dana favors White Spruce for the sheer versatility it imparts on a guitar, especially one with a smaller body. He can retain the sweetness and intimacy of the European varieties for soft playing, while retaining the wide dynamic range and the louder breakup of the stiffest tops."

Dana also specifically remembered the straight grain koa used on this one, and made this comment: "Your guitar is one of a small, special group of Koa/ White Spruce 00’s. There are less than 5 of them, perhaps even as few as 3. That specific Koa, while less figured, has some of the best Koa tone we have heard in a while."

Pretty exciting to hear that coming direct from Bourgeois.

Here is video Bourgeois posted at the time of the release of this batch of 00's

The guitar includes a very nice original case.

Pictures are combo of manufacturer images specific to this exact guitar & ones I took (sans pickguard).

Bump and price drop to $3,750! Someone is going to get a jem for an absolute deal for not much more than a Touchstone! And you are getting a Dana tuned and signed Koa jem! This guitar is truly special.
