K&K vs K&K with Shure Beta 56a
The first 25 seconds is my Martin CEO7 with a K&K pickup and a rubber sound hole plug, into my Grace Felix and then into my DAW (no processing at all). In the second 25 seconds, I blend about 50/50 of my stage mic (a Shure Beta 56a) using the Felix. This is interesting to me. The K&K alone sounds great through a PA, but you can really hear its deficiencies when there's no speaker. But add in that supercardioid dynamic mic and it really sounds good, even straight in.
