"Must visit" Guitar Shops in Denver area, Utah & Vegas
Hi folks,
Will be going to visit my son in Denver this Fall and thought I'd inquire about must-see guitar stores in the area. We'll be in Denver for a couple of days, and then touring by car thru some of the national parks in Utah, and ending up in Vegas. Note: We're taking a train from the east coast to Denver, so no guitar store shops along the way. THANKS in advance! Cheers! |

Another vote for Olde Town Pickin' Parlor up in Arvada. They have a bunch of nice pre-owned guitars, and they'll give you the run of the place.
Wildwood Guitars up in Louisville is one of the best guitar shops I've ever been in. Exceptionally nice people there, including the owner. However, I'm not sure if they've reopened the showroom yet. You might call before you go.

Definitely Wildwood. Probably no more than a 30 minute drive from Denver.

If you are serious about buying something vintage, look up Intermountain Guitar and Banjo in SLC. They sell by appointment only but go to their web site for inventory.
Acoustic Music also in SLC carries some lesser know but great guitars that are worth looking at.

Per phone conversation with them last week, they will close the retail shop and just focus on internet sales. The one time I visited them couple years ago I was totally underwhelmed.
