It looks sort of "earthy" in the photo. That should fit the Tribal and Primal theme.

I'm thinking that it would look great in a very thin finish that does not get too shiny.

If I can get the finish on it soon enough it's coming to BIG

The all black neck will have your usual laminates, I assume.

I played a senior gig yesterday with the PABLO. It was a blast, and folks remembered me from 14 months ago, even with all my furry camouflage!

What a fantastic bunch of guitars you have made me! Thanks!!!

Carry on and have FUN

Paul
Thanks Paul

Default Pictures from the white room

Tony has been laying on some final coats. The bear claw cedar top is showing off.

This one will make it to B.I.G.

Oak trees were showing that quarter sawed figure over 5000 years ago. For some reason I find that continuity satisfying.

Wow the bog oak looks great! I don't think you will be going home from BIG with this one John.

Smile Sweet

Hanter is right! That figure in the bog oak back is mighty pretty indeed!

And that BC Cedar top is crazy cute! Save me some for our next one.

The purfling looks fantastic against the BO. Is that more of the fabled fiddleback Mahogany? It sure looks familiar! Hahaha

I predict big fun at BIG

Paul

Thanks Paul. There is a set of BC cedar with your name on it. I think you will like it. And yes. I have become a fan of fiddleback hog purfling.

Hey John, do you have any details on the Sinker/Cocobolo fan fret? The Bog Oak was a beauty (congrats, Nemoman!), but I’m curious about the other guitar. Thanks!

I am happy to hear that the Bog Oak guitar did not go back to North Carolina after BIG. Did you sell out, John?

Thanks Jamie
The bog oak got a lot of love but Kevin took it home. I sold 3 of the 4 guitars that I took. It was a good weekend from that standpoint and of course the hospitality of Tom and Kathy was beyond compare. This was a guitar show that had a personal touch and it was such fun getting to meet so many AGF members and make new friends who share a common interest. It’s really worth attending. I think there will be more.

The sinker cocobolo went home with someone else Mike. I’ll miss it but it’s gone.

John

Congrats, John, I’m not surprised that it sold. Which model was that?
