Default It Had To Happen

The prices that we’ve held so long,
Are soon to be arising.
It seems that it would just be wrong
If we were not apprising.

For pressures far beyond the scope
Of luthiers prevailing,
Have squeezed us till there is no hope;
Inflation is assailing!

It nips us here, it stings us there,
It wounds us in the ledger.
When we feel bullish, it’s a bear,
We’re posts and it’s a sledger!

So since inflation will not stop
Or even take a breather,
It’s clear that in this Texas shop
Our prices cannot either.

We hate to raise them, yes we do,
Inflation’s such a bummer.
So if an order is in view,
Don’t wait until the summer.

Excellent! News like this has never been so well presented. You should include an original verse in the case with each new guitar.

Smile Excellent poem!

Sad but necessary and understandable news. And, you gent's instruments will still be a bargain!!!

Thanks for the lead time to order at the silly low old prices...

Do us a favor and don't put that to music.

One of the side effects of the pandemic is inflation on many fronts: homes, food, lumber..... and now guitars. Hardly surprising.

You mean something like:
“Don’t take a pick to me, my friend,
I wasn’t made for strumming.
If you don’t gently pluck my strings
You might as well be drumming.”
Or some such sentiment?

Not sure we do, but if so it isn’t I. I’m not enough like Davy Crockett OR Willie Nelson.

Oh, the temptation now to write a jingle! Thanks, Bard...
But you are correct: we wanted to build a simple storage rack for extra cases and were stunned at the jump in cost 3/4” BC plywood has taken. Oof!

Thanks for taking this so graciously my friends,

Steve

Poetic justice! Steve, it looks like you need a new West Coast sales rep. NY is really weak as well. I can help there as soon as I get my demo model ;-)

Made me smile.

Yes, this is perfect! A little literary and musical guidance from the bench. Perhaps something about the wood, the process, the rosette ...

The Adirondack in this axe
Hadn’t need for torrefaction
It’ll age better than the rest of us
So play with satisfaction!
