2003 Webber Dreadnought Adirondack/Mahogany K&K *SOLD*
2003 Webber Dreadnought Adirondack/Mahogany w/ K&K Pure Mini, Waverlies, Golden Gate ABS hardshell case
I purchased this recently here on the forum, thanks Todd. He did a great job describing it. (see original post for more details and specs). https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=521776 The only changes since then are I had the chipped nut replaced. Guitar plays wonderfully. Very clear and balanced. Super light build. Nice low action and much easier to play with its comfy shallow C than the D-18GE I compared it to. I think I prefer vintage style guitars and so that's the direction I'm headed. It does have the repaired center seam separation that is stable and not an issue - it has been nicely cleated and no finish work was done so you can see/feel if you look closely. The Mahogany is really beautiful in a honey golden color. Wish all my Mahogany guitars looked like this... The constantly shifting guitar wants and needs have me looking to go a different direction (smaller/vintage voicing), so I'm open to trade offers that might fit that description. *Edit* Trades are probably off the table as I bought 2 new guitars this week so need cash to fund. HELP! Looking for $1200 plus shipping - a crazy good deal for this phenomenal guitar. Last edited by inc0herent; 02-22-2021 at 05:15 PM. Reason: added details |

Those who have been around here for a while know how many guitars have passed through my hands.(for those who haven't, it's probably over 200 in the last 20 years) There are maybe 4-5 that I'd put in the same league as this one, everything considered.
This is the kind of guitar that mics VERY well - has a special upper midrange quality that is very pleasing. Truly does everything well and plays as easily as any guitar you will lay your hands on. If it had a wider nut and saddle spacing it would have gone to my grave with me. Best money you will ever spend.

I don't need another guitar, and I know that a dreadnaught would likely not be comfortable, but a Webber... at that price.... somebody should grab this.

Somebody better get it soon - might buy it back for the second time! I sold it in a fit of emotion a couple days after the January 6th events. Questioning if it was the right thing to do.

Todd,
I believe that David's dreads are 4.5" deep at the tail end. I've owned two. David's site is no longer available, but if the OP would measure and list the specs, there would be no confusion. Definitely shallower than most dreads, for sure. And comfortable. And articulate. And loud. But just wanted to raise the question for confirmation. David built some fantastic guitars. Sorry to see him retire. Cheers. |

Pretty sure I measured it when I listed it....we'll see if he can confirm for us.

Sorry for the incorrect information - usually very good about that kind of thing.
I guess it's a testament to the toll the last few years have taken on me.

Hey Todd
Todd, you should buy it back, for sure! Third time is a charm. Hahaha
The last few years have taken a toll on me too, and most of us, I wager! Still, you know you LOVE this one. Someone here recently posted something like, "Get the best guitars NOW. You will be dead a long time" Makes sense to me! Play on, AGF!!! Paul

I've made a vow to myself to stick with wider string spacing only. If this guitar had my specs, it would have NEVER left either time. Tonally, near perfect to my ear, but just a little bit of a "fight" regarding the more narrow spacing.
