Thanks musicdog, Getting a little closer, I finished carving the neck and got the fretboard markers and headstock logo inlaid.

Not only lovely, but fast- 20 guitars in 27 months is a real accomplishment.

The finish is really making this wood look great, these pictures don't really do it justice.

After letting the shellac harden for a couple of weeks, I got the bridge glued on. I also got the fingerboard extension glued and neck all leveled, frets crowned and polished and strings on. It has only been strung up for a day and I can already hear it settling in and sounding better. I am anxious to get some time on it to break it in. So far I am very pleased with the tone.

Thanks for checking in.
Travis

Thanks guys,
Working with nice looking wood make the builds even more fun. I was really excited about this one the minute I wetted the wood down and saw it come to life. It was my first build with Ovangkol but it will not by my last.
