I ended up buying the guitar for $1000. It was made in 2011 and is in great condition. I put a new set of strings on it and love the sound . Thanks for the replies.
Congrats! I think the 314 is a great buy at that price. You will not lose anything on it. Anyhow, if you dig playing it a couple hundred either way will be long forgotten. Enjoy.
