I first heard of him when he came out with an innovative capo. I use his picks (.88 nylon) every day. R.I.P.

Sad news. Used his capos back in the day. I’ve used his Tortex picks on electric guitar ever since they came out.

RIP Mr Jim Dunlop
I saw that he passed away today.
For years the only pick I really used was a JD 60mm Nylon. Jim, thanks for making my guitar sing.

Well said and so true. I have three Dunlop picks in my wallet........just in case an opportunity to play guitar arises.

I used to use Jim Dunlop resonator and mandolin strings - ust felt they were slightly higher tension than D'addario and the dobro strings had an .018" top, Seems they aren't available any more - or at least, in the UK.
