Default Winter Storm Harper - impacted?

Anyone impacted by winter storm Harper this week-end? I cancelled my flight home this week-end to avoid it (on the road for business).

Nope, the only thing that will impact us is the 6-9" of snow and me using my snowblower.

Is that related to where Bryce Harper is going?

This naming of winter storms is so stupid.

Naming them round here is pretty straightforward, they are all named "Another"

If Harper goes to anywhere except remaining in Washington it's going to be circus. No way he's worth $400M.

It was supposed to start at 4am here and be a MONSTER BLIZZARD OF EPIC PROPORTIONS with 15 inches by mid day, blowing, huge drifts, white outs....,grocery stores were out of most things........, and...

NOTHING! Nice day in the high 30’s. Started raining a little while ago. Said if temp drops will get some snow late tonight.

Really? The news says 100 million Americans will be impacted by his arrival. Seems like he'd be cheap at that price.

Started here, in the mountains just west of Woodstock, around 3:30. 14 to 20 inches predicted. Then the temperature plummets. Snow all day tomorrow then temps below zero with high wind. We'll be staying in for two days. Probably got to the pool Monday but only taking care of the snow tomorrow.

Started here at 4:30, really fine stuff. According to NOAA, we might get 23", so I can expect to spend some intimate time with my tractor tomorrow and again on Sunday. I was looking forward to a Sunday jam session and see the little wings of cancellation on it already.

Then Monday with a high of 3 above, yet some chance of rain. What goes? Tuesday will be clear but there is a chance of snow for every other day this week. I don't need that.

It's about 7:15. I've been up since 5:45 and never saw the plow go by but now that it's light I can see that my dead-end dirt road has been plowed clean.

Looks like about 12 inches so far and still snowing. Weather forecasters said it would turn to rain this morning but not here. It's beautiful outside. After I finish guitar practice, I'll get out and start cleaning it up. I'll get a pic then.

On the south shore of LI “it’s raining like a tall cow peeing on a flat rock” to quote my Texas friends. Just heard a loud thunder clap.
