500th Post

I wrote this a few months ago-
i thought it would be a good 500th for me!

Sometimes it gives me comfort
to just play my old guitar
It's been my friend and counselor
When times have gotten hard

It helps to celebrate the way I feel
when things are going good
Its been the thing I turn to
This box of crafted wood

Sometimes at night it calls me
from deep inside it's case
To come take it out and just remove
the lines upon my face

I always try to note the things
that help me through hard times
and things that help me celebrate
when things are going fine

There are folks who play much better
and many just as good
But none of them more appreciates
this box of crafted wood
