....Also watching Bireli Lagrene's Live in Vienna..a Gypsy jazz festival extravaganza. Just amazing mind blowing virtuosity from "ALL" the players...Then Bireli kicks it up a notch more with his playing!! Astonishing!!

I am revisiting my own personal Beatlemania days that I had in the mid to late 70s when I was a young teen. I just finished watching the Anthology on DVD and I have the movie Help! playing as I type this. I have also been listening to their stuff on CD and learning songs of theirs that I have never attempted before.

For me it's been Lunasa's new CD - The Story So Far. It's been my "go to" CD since I got it. Just this past week I picked up John Doyle's CD Wayward Son and haven't been able to put it down since. What an absolutely amazing guitarist he is. I also picked up Donal Clancy's CD Close To Home and am enjoying it quite a lot as well.

Lately:

Jorma Kaukonen - Quah (fantastic)
Grateful Dead - American Beauty (working on fingerstyle arrangements)
Foo Fighters - Skin and Bones (best "mainstream" acoustic show I've heard in a while)
