Ideas for fix for guitar top
This guitar is an Ovation from the 90s. It is really my first guitar. Back in the day I picked it up with the case unlocked and cracked the top. I am getting it structurally repaired, but it would just cost too much to cosmetically repair it. One idea I had was to have an artist paint something over the crack. I also wondered if there was some kind of decal
 that might be available that could be applied and then covered with lacquer of some sort. Any ideas out there? It’s a 12 string, so I’d like to keep it on hand. It’s really beautiful and sounds pretty nice. I just don’t like looking at the crack and reminding myself of my stupidity.

At least the split is not where one of the braces would be, cleat the underside of the soundboard and either finish the front or put a sticker over the top for cheap version

Yeah, just have the crack cleated/stabilized, then don't worry about it. Trying to "cover it up" would just make it aesthetically worse, IMO. I love 12-strings. Play that thing!

It’s at the shop being repaired.
But I don’t want to look at the crack. Hoping for some ideas.

I did work on an Ovation Celebrity that had a thick poly finish. Guitar was dropped and had shattered edge areas as well as long cracks growing from the bridge lower corners. CA glue restored structural integrity of the areas with shattered finish and cosmetically improved them about 85%.
I don't know if your guitar has the same finish. Your crack's "noticeability" can be minimized by using thin CA glue followed by razor scraping, progressive wet sanding/polishing/buffing.
