Cool Listing of CANADA/OM Luthiers at SBAIC 2016

Listed below are luthiers of OM style guitars from CANADA exhibiting at Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celabration. http://sbaic.com/

Luthiers with the winking smile are AGF sponsors whose contributions help keep this website operational. And me just walking in and using it, I am grateful.

Luthier, Province ... comments, links to the OM model page. (in most cases)

Andre, QC ... makes electrics and acoustics, things i've never have seen. The closest to an OM style is called Julie. http://thierryandre.com/fr/julie.html
Beauregard, QC ... makes five types of guitars all 100% handcrafted. “Orchestral model” has 15.5" lower bout. http://beauregardguitars.com/guitars/om-2/
Dubeau, QC ... makes one electric model and three acoustic models. one of which is the OM. http://lalutheriedubeau.com/models/orchestra-model/
Gervais, QC ... young man focusing on handcrafted acoustics, 4 steel string models, a classical and a ukulele. http://www.lutheriegervais.com/en/in...chestral-model
Greenfield, QC ... "passionate about tone" This fellow of a certain age makes nylon and steel acoustics. OM is called G1 http://www.greenfieldguitars.com/gui...el-strings/#g1
Indian Hill , QC ... makes four hand crafted acoustic models . The one called Concert has a 15.5" lower bout. http://www.indianhillguitars.com/models_concert.html
Joi, BC ... 'Ten" diffferent sizes of accoustic guitars, The interesting part is there are spirit stylings, here's the Earth in an OM size http://joiguitars.com/joi-series-gui...ements-series/
Kawakami, BC ... Handcrafted with little more than a knife and sharpening stone. Here is the Traditional OM. http://www.ykawakami.com/en/Guitars....rad-OM#Trad-OM
Lavoie, QC ... Makes archtops and flatops. Classic flatop comes in 15", 16", 17". http://www.benoitlavoie.com/Wordpres...attop/#English
Letain, BC ... Mostly electrics, not that there is anything wrong with that, yellow cedar flat top, check it out here, http://www.letainguitars.com/6-strin...oustic-guitar/
Manzer, ON ... this years cover girl for SBAIC, Makes archtops, nylon or steel string guitars and more. "The Manzer" http://www.manzer.com/guitars/index....ing/the-manzer
Michaud , AB ... Lots of fans here at AGF. Focuses on only two models, http://michaudmade.com/models/om-r/ video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOo_0hKFTq8
Paldacci, QC ... Ben handcrafts 3 models, unveiling his new 00-12 fret at sbaic, will add to his Dreadnaught and OM models. http://www.benjaminpaldacciguitars.com/om
Pellerin, QC ... Makes five models in his workshop. The one most like an OM is called "Folk". http://guitarespellerin.com/en/models/folk/
Tellier, ON ... Every guitar is made for a purpose and every new project gets a fresh vision. Thats what I'm thinking. http://www.fetellierguitars.com/index.php?p=1_21
White , ON ... Peggy builds four acoustic models. Her take on the OM is called "Premier" and has a lower bout of 15.5" http://www.peggywhite.ca/#/premier/
---------------------Since White is always last, lets give her a plug for her singer/songwriting chops... click on "my music" on this website.

If I'm not mistaken, Joel Michaud is an AGF sponsor as well

I will have a Malaysian Blackwood Bearclaw Engelmann OM with arm and rib rests and a scoop cutaway. I will post some pictures of the completed guitar in a couple days. I strung it up Wed. evening and it is my best sounding OM to this point of my Luthiery journey.

Here is a photo collection of the build on my Photobucket

Fred, it looks like your photo bucket is serving browser hijacking malware, probably in the ads.

do not click on Fred's link

There is no malware on Photobucket, it may send ads if you are not a paid subscriber. I have used that site for years and never have had an issue. If you do not want to look then don't it will not bother me.

Same photos on facebook https://www.facebook.com/16345154700...20463057969370
