Default Halcyon AJ (Lutz Spruce & Padauk) SOLD!

SOLD!

Up for sale is a 2017 Halcyon AJ with lutz spruce top, padauk back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, 25.5" scale, 1 11/16" nut.

Asking $1200 shipped/paypal. It's in like new condition, no issues to report. Comes with hardshell case.

This is probably the most dynamic and touch sensitive guitar I've ever played, and it looks absolutely gorgeous on top of it!

Awesome guitar, never heard of that builder but good to see a good canadian luthier. if it had a wider nut I'd try it out. Very good looking axe and the neck looks very inviting.

Thanks, Halcyon is actually Ed Bond from Larrivée:

Ed began building guitars at Larrivée Canada in 1996. Starting with the very basics he moved around the shop floor, becoming intimately familiar with the compartmentalized details of factory production. His last 12 years at Larrivée were spent as Production Manager and Quality Control Manager as well as directly supervising the assembly line. He has been involved, hands on, for the production of 100,000 instruments, a truly invaluable experience. Ed has personally completed 5000 final neck fits, 10,000 fret jobs and 40,000 setups including the final 10 guitars to come off the line in Canada.

Cool. What sort of bracing and voicing do his guitars have?

I'm actually not sure about the bracing type, although it seems to be on the light side. And I believe all of the Halcyons use light gauge strings. It's a very clear and articulate sound, very dynamic and expressive, balanced, and notes seem to jump right out of it almost like it's amplified.

Here are some Halcyon AJ threads:
