New Acoustic Amp - Mesa Boogie Rosette
Mesa Boogie has released an acoustic amp:
http://www.mesaboogie.com/amplifiers...ies/index.html Seems to have a rather decent feature set and specs. No user manual on the website yet. |

Nice EQ SECTION! What does it weigh?

Based on my experience with their amps, I'd expect this to sound great, be built for the road, and to weigh a lot!

28 lbs. List $999.
I was mistaken before. Here's a link to the user manual: http://www.mesaboogie.com/media/User...170608-web.pdf Last edited by sdelsolray; 10-02-2017 at 10:23 AM. |

Having reviewed the manual, this amp has much promise, at least on paper. The Mesa folks did some hard, thoughtful and clever work here.

Sounds nice on the Mesa video
Of course it is advertisement but you can hear the difference between the anthem and the piezo equipped guitars

I expect it to sound pretty good as Mesa tends to have an ear for tone.
However, with two 8" speakers (and no mention of a tweeter) I wonder how much of the acoustic 'presence' it keeps/loses. I'd also like to hear it in person to see how well it projects around the room (ie. does it have a tight dispersion with a small sweet spot that is good for use as a monitor, but not as useful for wider horizontal audience coverage). It looks like it has an excellent preamp section with all the DI output you could want, so I suspect it will be great through the PA. |

The preamp section is also available as a single-channel standalone unit.

These guys must have done some great market studies and written a strong business case. If they just spent a few months reading through all the input from this forum, I'm sure it could answer most of the questions in preparing this for the market. Looks like they took lots of the feedback we listed for all our equipment trials and rolled it up in their offering. Hope it sounds as good as their electric guitar offerings.

New Acoustic Amp - Mesa Boogie Rosette
That video was terrific. Now I want one of these! :-). Cuki, take away my internet access please. I was skeptical about vocals but they sounded beautiful.
They came out with a new rosette preamp pedal. Looks great too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
