Default new body for my strat

I bought a Guitar Fetish strat many years ago and have slowly been replacing pieces. All that's been left of the original guitar for the past couple of years has been the body which weighed about 16 tons. This week, I replaced the body with a beautiful flamed maple/swamp ash body from Warmoth that weighs in at just under 4 pounds. Swapped all the chrome hardware for black and it's looking pretty sweet now.

along with some electrics, zouks, dulcimers, and banjos.

That looks fantastic! The black hardware and gold knobs help too.

Excellent job looks fantastic
4 lbs. is awesome..... So am I safe in assuming it has the cut out cavities to reduce weight ?

Beautiful guitar! Love the color! The evolution of your GF guitar is pretty amazing.

I just received a GF unfinished T-style body along with a finished neck and some parts. Planning to build a prototype that if successful, will eventually kick-off a Warmoth custom finish and build.

Your project guitar gives me hope that maybe I could have similarly positive results.

Yes, it's chambered. I had some reservations about going with a chambered body but I talked to enough people and read enough opinions that I was convinced my preconceived notions about tone and sustain were unwarranted.

This guitar is now Guitar Fetish free. The body was the last remnant. I've owned it for about 6 years. Early on I swapped out the pickups for a set of Klein Jazzy Cats and swapped out the harness at the same time. A while later I bought a Warmoth neck and Gotoh tuners. With the new body, it's officially a Warmoth strat.

Warmoth makes such nice stuff. All the electric necks I've bought from them over the years have been 1.75" width, which is nice and comfortable for me.

Great color & color combo...also like the Wilkinson 2-point trem; I have that on one of my Strats...very smooth, stable & accurate.
