Well, it's about time! This may sound a bit backwards, but I'm almost looking forward to seeing your photographs of the guitar more than hearing the recordings It's going to be pretty spectacular looking for sure. Ok, I'm eager to hear it as well

Congrats Mau! I am looking forward to the pics and recordings as well. Do you plan any a/b with the "Tree" and BRW? Would be an interesting comparison. I would actually like to hear those two and the Tunnel in a comparison session.

Thanks, Dennis!

I will certainly record some comparison clips. I think my two SJs will sound pretty similar. I remember that Jim's BRW/EIR SJs may have sounded a bit "smoother" than my mahogany SJ -- but not by a very wide margin.

The Petros tone is very different. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's a very special tone, very pleasant to my ear. I went with Petros for looks but ended up being floored by the tone.

That looks like a perfect endorsement quote to put on their website!

Mau - absolutely beautiful. When will you receive it?

...looking forward to sound clips...

--edit--

Just realized the veneer on the back of the headstock is book matched. Crazy.

Breathtaking! I love those fretmarkers. Totally unique. And the grain on that back is nothing short of awesome. Congrats Mau!

Gorgeous. Look at that top!!! I love the treatment on the back of the headstock, too. I can't wait to hear recordings of this guy and the Petros!!!!

Thanks!!! Guitar will be in my hands early next week.

As for the backplate veneer, Jim chose a nicely matched piece indeed. I'm very happy with it.

Yes -- and unlike my other SJ, Bubbles looks like a practical instrument...

Thanks, Dennis. It took me a bit of time to decide on the fretboard inlays but I'm really happy with my decision.

As for the back, I love the colourful grain and the overall reddish tint. The flames also give more character IMHO.
