Default PSA-Nice Larriveee on CL

OK it's craigslist so the usual caveats apply. This just looks too good not to put it out there.

Would be nice with the b/s polished up! I think the price may prove to be a little on the high side.

Hmmm...possibly, but to my knowledge there's a premium for koa over and above the price of a basic OM-03 mahogany. Guess it depends whether one likes koa on these. It's a great looking set on that guitar, as far as one can see from the pics. Also...depends on one's proximity to Battleground, Washington.

And I do agree that if it were mine for keeps, I would polish it.

Great guitar. But can't you get 'em for twelve or thirteen hundred new? I do miss my vancouver built L-shape though, but am rapidly playing in an oxnard-made om

If I lived within easy driving distance I would definitely drive over and test it out. I like koa, I like Larrivées and I like OM's, so it would be a win-win-win if I happened to like the sound and playability of this particular example.

As for the asking price, it is a bit higher than I've seen "3 Series" Larrivées selling for, but the koa is an expensive and only occasionally available tonewood. The same guitar new would cost a LOT more.

Just a thought...

Looking at the custom price list, Koa top=$750.00, Back & sides = $1500.00,
Suggested, Om-03 price = approx. $1700.
So, I don't think the seller is too far off, supply & demand, like every other guitar out there.
