Default Does this look like anybody else’s case contents?

I think I need to accumulate less and play more. At some point I must have been worried about string winder failure,

I keep a spare set in the gig bag with a winder.
My “play out” bag has a strap, preamp, snack, drink, music, etc in it.

My old Ammo box has a dozen or so sets of strings, and other sundrie

How did you manage to get all that stuff to fit in the case? Did you leave the guitar out or something?

That's just a case. I've got a couple gig bags that are the pocket-equivalent of cargo shorts plus a safari jacket. I'm sure there's MRE's, field dressings and an ammo belt in there somewhere.

I try to keep things down to a minimum. Nothing worse than not being able to find your capo under all the other mess. A single set of replacement strings in each case is plenty.

The one thing I keep in each case religiously is a nail clipper. And a handy towel to wipe down the strings. Every guitar has its own strap, and the strap stays in the case whenever the guitar is in the case (or gig bag.) Nothing worse than showing up for a gig and having to scrounge for a strap.

Each case has a strap, a capo, some picks, business cards, extra set of strings, microfiber cloth to wipe it down, and a string winder. Each guitar has a tuner attached to the headstock.

I also have a gig bag with tons of other stuff (PA cables, mic, power strip, etc) but I only take that with me when I'm carrying my mini PA rig.

If I'm just going somewhere to play I just grab the case. It has everything i need it in (including a guitar )

Looks like you're prepared for the forthcoming zombie apocalypse! Spare strings, tuner, picks and capo are my case contents-oh and a spare bridge pin in case one does a disappearing act during string changes.

Packed “neatly” it all fits in the cargo box. I didn’t even take the capo out for the pic

I do something similar.

- Capo
- Strap
- Spare Strings
- Winder/cutter
- Nail clipper
- Clip on tuner
- Spare batteries for pickup
- Picks in a holder
- Truss rod wrench
- Hygrometer

I think that's it. It doesn't take much room, the strap takes 75% of the space and the strap is absolutely mandatory for me.

That's what I was thinking. I've never been able to cram more than a strap, an extra set of strings, a tuner, a rag and a few picks into any of my cases. The OP's accomplishment is quite admirable. I'd like to see a pic of the contents stowed.
