DTAR Multisource issue
I recently purchased and had a DTAR MultiSource system professionally installed in my Martin HD 28 by one of Michigans most respected Luthiers. I love the sound of the system, however there is one nagging issue we can not seem to get fixed.
The B string only has louder volume than all of the other strings. every thing else is pretty consistant or even. We have double checked all of the obvious potential problems and followed the instructions and trouble shooting to the letter. Debris Kinks Saddle to ribbon contact etc. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me batty. Thanks |

Is the B string volume unbalanced (too loud) at all blend levels of mic/pickup?
Do you have the Multisource wired for stereo or mono output? ..

START with contacting Rick Turner! I think he's a member here, as well, but certainly get in touch with him about it. If ANYONE would be intimately familiar with that system, it would be him, I would think...
I have had a similar problem, but not with that system; I know a UST can be "voiced" and balanced pretty well, but it takes time and most techs don't really want to spend that much time, as they aren't getting paid extra for it. I bet that Mr. Turner will be able to help... Good luck! play on................................> John
