Default What are your favorite Celtic tunes?

I have quite a few favorites, but these two are at the top.

Citi Na GCumman {William Coulter}:

Star of the County Down {Stephen Wake}:

Both of those are great tunes. If I had to name one, I’d say my favorite is “Merrily kissed the Quaker’s Wife” amount 100 others. 😊

So many. Of course "The Star of the County Down," but also:
  • "The Rocky Road to Dublin"
  • "Scatter the Mud"
  • "Morrison's"
  • "The Butterfly"
  • "Drowsy Maggie"
And many more.

Don't know (or care) if this considered "Contemporary Celtic" or simply just excellent Scottish Folk but this one of my very favorite tunes from across the pond

Fantastic tune, but I think he has better. Check out Talking with my Father, Holding Back, This Love Will Carry. He's one of my all time favourite, loads of free streamed concerts on youtube at the moment too. Think he's done 60 or so since March.

I will check those out thanks , maybe to add to my set list I have both "Caledonia" and "Feels So Near" in my current set list, and they are always popular with the audience ( back when I was playing out) , Kev
