Default It came on the truck today...

Happy Birthday to me!!! Discerning electric guitar folks will probably guess what this is. My next little guitar adventure.

Extra points if you can pronounce it correctly like the manufacturer does. Double extra points if you can also pronounce it the German way.

1] Which stompbox is it?
2] Most Americans would probably pronounce it "new neighbor," "new nabber," or "noonabur" depending on region...
3] A rough approximation of the German would be "noynobber"...

Well, okay, because you asked:

It allows USB firmware downloads and can be reprogrammed to be any of his stereo effects pedals: Wet Stereo Reverb, Wet Shimmer reverb, Chroma Stereo Chorus, Echelon Echo, and Infinity Hold. Within those pedal programs you can also program four different standard reverb options, two shimmer reverb options, three chorus options, four echo options, and two hold options.

I'm enough of a tweak head that it'll keep me busy for a while playing. First impressions are good.

I could use a cup of coffee, a stack of pancakes, and some bacon right now - where's the tap tempo...?

I'm sitting here with my second cuppa but I'm getting pretty hungry as well. There are jacks on top for expression pedals and/or a tap tempo switch.

Looks cool, Bob. Are you going to use it mostly for recording?

.... and Happy Birthday!

Yeah Happy Birthday

That looks like a pretty versatile pedal. I guess you didn't get this for subtle room effects? You can do some crazy things with reverb to produce ethereal washes of sound.

Happy B-day Bob...I have the two-knob version of the Wet Reverb and I like it very much.

Thanks, Dru!

I spent some time with the pedal today and don't see any reason why I won't used it live. The reverb program alone allows you to add a very nice, lush reverb to reverb-less amps like the Fender 5e3 Deluxe, and then there's echo and chorus and the other stuff. I'm pretty impressed. I'll probably do a review on my site once I get some hours with the unit under my belt.

Happy Birthday! I would really like read your review. How would you compare the Spring sound to say a BF Deluxe Reverb or Twin? The digital algorithms they have these day amaze me!

It doesn't have a spring reverb sound, per se. It is a very smooth-sounding digital reverb that goes from a short decay to infinity. It has a mix control, a tone control, and a reverb length control. When you set the controls right so that it "sits" like a guitar amp reverb, it is somewhere between a Deluxe Reverb and a classic Traynor. The Traynor has a slightly longer reverb than the Fenders do probably fueled by the fact that it is driven by a 6BQ5/EL-84. When I got it to sound pleasant that's where it was. It can do both subtle and surf. But it is a very pleasant, smooth-sounding reverb.
