This build is turning out very nicely. I can't wait to see more.

Default Explanation...

Ok, most of you know I picked this up Friday. I've thought long and hard about whether to jump to the end or show you the final few steps. While I'm not trying to tease anyone I thought I'd just continue as I had been and work toward the finished guitar pics.

I can tell you that there's no way I can do justice with my simple snapshots of the finished guitar. I have a pro friend lined up for some shots and intend on getting those out before too long.

I will, however, indulge myself in this small bit of theater... the caption on the picture below is "speechless"...

Default Tuners and custom knobs

Gotohs... choices... black chrome or bright gold? We chose the black and I think that was best..

The custom striped ebony buttons

And the finished and installed custom buttons (and this is the first of the "finished guitar" shots" I've allowed you to see!)

Well, I happen to know, but, I ain't saying. All I can say is, it's worth the wait.

Default Heel cap

Ok, I realize I'm showing more completed guitar pics! So be it. Thanks for watching -- I'll reply to Humberto on the playability after I get the final shots that I have up for you all.

And thanks, Keith! I hadn't heard that since '68.... if I remember it at all!

Default The unveiling...

Ok, so once again, here is Mike after opening the guitar case and showing me Wanderer for the first time (ok, so it was staged and I really saw it 30 seconds before... it still made me speechless!!)

What I saw:

We took it outside to get away from the shoplights (cloudy day)

And I showed this shot in an earlier post - but if you want the "colour feel" for how this guitar strikes you, this shot gives you the colours and "temperature" that hits you when you look
