SOLD 1939 Kalamazoo KG-322 Sport
SOLD OFF-FORUM
Gibson produced the Kalamazoo line right alongside their more expensive models. This guitar was made as smaller 3/4 size guitar in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and features a late-30's style wide sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back, sides and neck and spruce top. The "Sport Model' was a very cool little 3/4 guitar, built on the body pattern of 1920's TG-1 tenor guitar. At 12 ⅝" wide at the lower bout, the "Sport" is of a demure size compared with some of the other Kalamazoo models. After purchasing, I immediately sent it to Baxendale Guitars to undergo one of their conversions. Scott Baxendale and team take old USA-made vintage guitars and remanufacture them using proprietary bracing and internal design, giving the guitars a new life and a world class tone that compares to vintage guitars of the highest order. http://baxendaleguitar.com/conversion.html Due to its small stature, this guitar is perfect as couch queen, or for child who is learning to play. Dimension: Overall length is 36 3/8 ", 12 5/8 " wide at lower bout, & 3 7/8" in depth at side. Scale length is 23 ". Nut width is 1 9/16 ". Condition: Very Good + Post-conversion video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvesz17d9i...rsion.MOV?dl=0 Comes with original case. Asking $2000 net to me. Trades: I prefer small-bodied guitars.
