TRADED: Bourgeois Vintage AT JOMT Aged Top Adirondack
For sale is a beautiful Bourgeois JOMT with an aged Adirondack top and really nice straight grained rosewood back and sides. The JOMT in size reminds me of a Martin M-36 but with the comfort and playability that comes with a shorter scale. It is slightly larger than a traditional OM, but not as large as a dread, making arm reach really comfortable. Tonally, note separation is fantastic on this. As you can imagine it sounds great as a fingerstyle guitar, but you can dig in quite a bit with a pick. The Addy top gives it that extra headroom. Overall it is really well balanced. Overall, it is in excellent condition. I could only find some pick marks on the pick guard and two pin size marks on the sides. Action, fit and finish is really great on this one. I took this in on a trade, but I would like to move to a larger body size like a dread, GA or jumbo. Specifications Serial Number: 8647 Top Wood: Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce Back Sides: Indian Rosewood Rosette: Black/White Vintage Purfling: Vintage Herringbone with Back Head Veneer: Ziricote Fretboard: Short Scale 14 Fret Ebony Tuners: Waverly Nickel Pins: Ivoroid with Black Dots Pickguard: Celluloid Top Color: Natural Finish: Standard Nut Width: 1 23/32 Scale Length: Short Scale Head Binding: None Body Binding: Ivoroid Fretboard Inlay: Long Pattern Abalone Slotted Squares & Diamonds Fretboard Binding: Black Heelcap: Ivoroid Comes with original hard case. If you would like to get a sense of what this sounds like, I think Car Miner's demo is spot on. I have played this exact guitar. It was originally sold by AMW and was one of several they had available the day I visited the store (Nov 2019). The one I eventually bought was 4 serial numbers away from this one and was a full scale 1 3/4 nut with 2 5/16 string spacing version. But otherwise identical in appearance and tone.
This specific guitar #8647 was so good in fact that I played it for a solid 10 minutes before Steve and I realized it was short scale and not the one I originally requested to play and eventually bought. Anyway, buy with confidence. This is an AWESOME Bourgeois!

What a great guitar! I’ve been searching for a used JOMT. If this was long scale and 1 3/4 nut width I would be all over this deal.

Whooa Nelly! I think the Bourgeois JOM models are about as perfect as it gets! Very comfortable, sounds like a mini-dread. Someone is gonna get a great guitar!

Thanks everyone for their feedback on the JOMT. It says a lot about how good these guitars are.
