Notes-"2008 Chuck Sanzone archtop, fan fret, arch top guitar:
Sanzone went to Roberto Venn Guitar Building School in 1995, moved back to Boston, then bought property in Stowe, Vermont that had a 1 room school house on it for his shop. He worked for Bill Tippin in the late 1990's and built over 200 guitar bodies for Tippin. Chuck moved his family to Ventura, California in June 2020 after being recruited to become the head luthier with Guild Guitars in Oxnard, California.

Chuck Sanzone wrote to me about the two pickups in the guitar, ""The Kent Armstrong custom humbucker (not available commercially) is a great pickup, very versatile and capable of many sounds. Chuck said that is great if you run an acoustic amp for the K & K, and tube amp for the Armstrong. Since K & K are passive pickups, I find that they work best with either a PA or acoustic amp.""

This guitar has a signed label from March 2009, and the inside of the soundboard is also signed.

Between the Brazilian rosewood fittings and the incredibly rare, aged cello tone wood, this is a truly special guitar. Chuck Sanzone's current price for a new build of similar quality would be around $16k. The guitar has a magnetically attached removable sound port. Sanzone has a patent on the magnetic sound port, bridge, tail piece, truss rod cover, headstock plates.

Default Sanzone

Quickstep...........I sent you a PM.

Guitar is loud for an archtop when unplugged, much louder than my 1954 ES-175 or obviously my 335.

Beautiful, beautiful instrument.
