Ai, Michael! If you're coming from a collector's standpoint, you may be looking at the wrong guitar models.
Maybe start looking for the out of production models like Composite Acoustics Vintage Performer, or the Baritone 12-strings or even the CA Blade?
These may have a higher probability of attaining collector's status, than the popular Cargo or GX models, ya?

Default Which Composite Acoustics to buy?

Hi,
I have a perfect Pre-Peavey 2009 Composite Acoustic GX Raw for sale on the forum. It's a larger bodied guitar, but still super comfortable to hold. Great volume and full, rich base.

Here's a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66BGyHYHjjs

PM me if interested!

Angela

Cool CF guitar

Thanks Womenhealers but I'm going to pass on the GX. I am more interested in the Xi. michael s.

I have a pre-peavey OX. Great guitar, warm tone with a deep bass and sparkling highs. I had a pre-peavey cargo which I regrettably sold only to buy a peavey cargo that I felt couldn't compare to the one I sold and then sold that one. My OX isn't going anywhere, won't make the same mistake twice.

Cool Cf

Thanks Jeff. Does the OX have the same neck as the Cargo? and the same back? Aside from the sound hole placement, it looks like a big brother to the Cargo. Can you tell me how deep the OX is? The CA website doesn't give depth. thanks again, michael s.

It looks like the OX is 4" deep.

This site has the specs for the pre-Peavey models (I assume they're the same for the Peavey versions):

Cool

Thanks Brian, that site gives all the specs. Is the neck on the OX the same neck that is on the Cargo? i.e. the C neck? michael s.

4" sounds about right. Neck profile is the same as the cargo.

All about the ox if you are coming up from the cargo.....may be the best balanced of all CA's Guitars and on the times you are not pugged in I feel a much better sound than the Xi.
