Moisture ?? spots under the Lacquer
I have a 2021 Martin HD35.
I had to store it in its case 6 months (with a daddario humidipak ) A few days ago the guitar flew overseas to Europe. It wasnt accepted in the cabin so it had to travel with the luggage. I gave it some time to acclimate. Nothing broke or cracked , the guitar plays and sounds great. But when i look to the back and sides under a bright light , multiple spots appear under the finish, as if it is moisture under the lacquer. I dont know whether it was caused by the storage or by the exposure to low temperatures in the luggage. Any ideas? https://postimg.cc/zLpHbjCc https://postimg.cc/PCQP94R5 |

An old furniture trick is to rub petroleum jelly on the area that's blushed. I've tried it 1/2 a dozen times with mixed results.
When it does work, wipe it off immediately after the blushing is gone because it can actually darken the area too much. |
