TC Helicon Play Acoustic Switch 6 Question
Would like to buy the switch 6 but I don’t see it as an option in the onboard menu. I only see the switch 3 on page 6. I read that I should be able to use the 6 and I’m pretty sure I have the latest firmware update: 1.3.0. Can anyone help?
Gonna play on a cruise ship soon so I’m trying to have a smaller footprint. Did one cruise. Had my TRex Soulmate Acoustic which was awesome but a little too heavy and wide to lug around. I also need something for vocals as the sound tech basically comes and turns it on and leaves you hanging (that’s IF he showed up) so I’d like more control over my voice too. Figure TC’s Play Acoustic would be ideal. I’d just be missing vocal volume and eq but the ship’s system sounded pretty good in the latter department.

Switch 6
Make sure you have the latest firmware on your Play Acoustic, otherwise you're not going to have the switch 6 option

I don't have my Play Acoustic any more, but ran a Switch 6 with it no issue. If you have the latest firmware, it may be that the unit wants to see the Switch 6 attached before it will show the menu item (but don't quote me on that).

Checked the firmware yesterday and it looks to be the latest but I don’t see it on the menu. Guess I’ll just have to buy it and see if it works. Thanks guys.
