Default Ode to the TC Bodyrez

I have been using the bodyrez since a few months ago. Now I bought a second one for my spare pedalboard . It is the best piece of gear for (some) acoustic guitars that I have found so far.
It doesnt make much difference if you use Anthem (my Taylor has Anthem full), pretty useless.
It doesnt make much difference if you use an high end Fishman such as the Matrix VT Enhance in my Martin, pretty useless.
BUT, get my old 25yo Guild F4ce with her beautiful sound unplugged and the ancient Fishman onboard: the bodyrez will make it shine. Night and day!
That's the ticket.

Also the (weird) Boss CP1x digital multiband compressor is doing good things to acoustic (any), by making it more clear while at the same time affecting the overall tone (which is not exactly you may want , but sometimes why not). The Cp1x is far to be "transparent", but it is not cosyting a kidney at least.

Anyway, bodyrez is a game changer for some piezo systems.

I agree. I only have the built-in Rez on a mic-stand VG unit, but it really does bring average systems to life. Dont know if supply chain in order, but for a while you couldnt find them.

I'm about to find out, scored a nice condition Play Acoustic from GC last night for $170, already shipped. Pretty sure it has a tweakable BodyRez effect.

My main stage acoustic is a Crafter ML Rose, wonderful guitar, but yes the pickup output sounds like @$$.

It is worth saying that i don't use an amp, going straight into the PA through a mixer. I tested different mixers and speakers with the same results.
I have no idea how it works through an amp, and honestly i never used the amp i bought 25 years ago for the Guild.

This really is a great pedal. I always wanted TC Helicon to release one that would run on a battery to carry to venues with (new to me) PAs. Very simple operation. I now use a Sunn Audio DI2. But, I would use the BodyRez again with my K&Ks for sure.

It does. It's a pretty good unit. But I can't use it without at least an additional 3 button footswitch.

Do you need the 3-button switch for better use of the looper functions, or for something else?

I already have a Ditto X4 for looping, and don't intend to use the looper on the Acoustic Play.
