Lovely purple accents in the rosette, John.

Thanks. Im glad you like them. its a bit of risk taking to do stuff like that and its comforting to hear some one say they like it.

Default the neck

Jamie was interested in Purple Heart markers on the fretboard. Purple Heart won't stand out very well against the ebony fretboard so I wrapped them in Silver to make the markers really pop.

THEN. Jamie has been really supportive of my designs. To complete the theme of silver with Purple Heart I added a little accent to the top of the pegged. The veneer is Bog Oak and is like black quartered oak with the typical grain patterns.

My heart goes aflutter whenever I see a tiny guitar with a cutaway. My favorite kind of guitar. This one looks amazing!

Default Course correction

Not every decorative attempt is a success. More than once I’ve trashed a rosette or an inlay of some kind because I didn’t like it, but it’s hard not to take a chance on new ideas. This is another one of those times. I think the silver was too much on the peghead, it just stood out too blatantly so I took it out and replaced that inlay with a solid piece of curly Purple Heart.
In my minds eye the silver pulled things together but the reality was it pulled too hard.
So….. the new headstock

Dang! Beautiful! Captivating texture, and the contrast between the B&S and the neck is attractive and striking.

That came out just great. I really like the woods, but also the fade you did on the neck, that is perfect.

That turned out might fine, John. I really love that subtle burst on the neck, and of course the back and sides are gorgeous, too! Well done, sir!

Smile Jamie will be STOKED

My word, what a beautiful guitar.

And, Jamie must be chomping at the bit about now.

Tony worked his usual magic. Yay Tony

This makes me consider a Pyramid Bridge, myself… sure is cute

Carry on and HAVE FUN
