Well, one of them - a very fine Swiss/BRW West Coast OM - I acquired from our friend Mike/Woody. The others are my transcendent Cedar/Pau Santo 000, and my excellent and still evolving Lucky Strike/Bog Oak OM. I am spoiled.

I played one of my regular gigs today. Not that many going post Covid, and I really don’t care to beg for gigs at places I have played thru multiple owners, let alone numerous activity directors.

When I told the nice people there I had brought my FAVORITE guitar (JK BIG BRAZ) four or five all said thank you.

When I asked at the end of the gig if they could all hear OK sans PA. They said thank you again, for NOT subjecting them to electronic stuff.

During the gig I had numerous Senior Moments where I was lost for no reason! Hahahaha.. but I just laughed and so did they. More fun for everyone right away!

My motto on stage

Paul

The Spanish Cedar neck you put on #29 was quite attractive.

Hello Matt Sarad. Good to hear from you. You remember "Woody". (that was Number 29 was it not.). It was the only guitar that I had enough of the Santa Domingan Mahogany to make a two piece back. It had a nice curl and really deep color. Wish I had some more of that stuff.

Brother, I REALLY like that rosette. That may be my favorite you’ve done.
I need to step up my visit to get some of that creativity to rub off!

Aww, thanks bro.You do need to come visit soon if only to beat that Texas heat wave. High today here is in the 80's. We are sweating here but you might need a jacket

I try to avoid lines of weakness in the sides. Especially so where the side braces meet the lining, so the braces are inlet some into the lining. This technique makes me especially comfortable because one of the side braces backs up the socket where the carbon fiber thrust rods end. Gotta share the load.

You can see the difference in mahogany color in this shot. The interior has been shellaced and the bracket for the CF rod is Honduran and the lining is Santa Domingan

Thanks Jamie.
Mild climate, lots of rain.
Looks like the camera focused on the trees instead of the guitar

Thanks Paul. Not much grass to mow. Too many trees. It’s steep too.

Hey John, looking good my friend. I started a "feather weight" 00 recently with all intentions of making it from Spanish Cedar. I had some Black Limba, that weighed a little less, so I went with that seeing as it is a spec guitar. I set it aside, but I may try to get it going for Woodstock and although October seems like a long way off, I really would need to get it done by the end of this month to allow time for finish. Might not be in the cards, but we will see. Again great work and I too love the rosette.

Thank you Kindle John. It surprises me that black Limba is lighter that SC. I've never built with black Limba so really I'm just showing my ignorance. If you go ahead with that build please document it on agf.
