Steve and Ryan just about have all the woodworking done on this FS and are hoping to ship it out for finishing early next week.

Then the waiting begins...Yikes!

Steve and Ryan have just about got this puppy ready to go to finish!

Steve assures me that there are tonal advantages to the color alternation of clamps when gluing down the fretboard. We shall see, but either way, as he noted, "It's certainly festive"!

The final sanding is being performed as this thread prepares to go dark for awhile...

A couple of final shots as we bid goodbye to this FS for awhile.

I love the shot of the back--it highlights how we wanted the look of the backstrip continuing past the heel cap and running up the neck to the peghead. Very cool!

While the FS is out for finishing, Steve and Ryan are getting the neck ready to go.

I elected to have the "K" logo placed on the backstrap to preserve the appearance of the stunning Koa front plate. Here's a shot with the "K" inlay in place...
