Right. The Sonitone stands alone at the bottom...lol. The Element must be a lot more costly in bulk for guitar makers than the Sonitone. That's the only possible reason that Martin and others put them in most of their guitars.

One advantage that the HiFi has over the Anthem is that the HiFi preamp has auxiliary contacts to add a second pickup to the ring signal path when using a stereo cable or stereo-to-Y cable.

The HiFi installation instructions advise that a passive soundhole mag is a good choice to pair with the HiFi. (It also recommends AGAINST pairing the HiFi with a high impedance passive pickup, such as a passive UST.)

The HiFi instructions also state that you can connect a mic to the auxiliary input, provided the mic has it’s own power supply. Wayne of WJ Guitars in Australia has already done that. We had the privilege of checking out his sound demos a few weeks ago.

I imagine that some ambitious player will eventually be showcasing a HiFi/passive mag dual source rig on the forum. At the very least, that will be a versatile pairing which could be adapted to a wide spectrum of gigging conditions.
