Unfortunately, it looks like it got pushed back yet again, to November.

It also looks like the number of possible presets went from 64 to 32.

And what's to say it won't be pushed back until December?

I do like the colorfulness of the screen and the other minor updates. The text was clarified, some button functionalities were varied. The color makes it more marketable and happier, and overall it looks like it will be a drastic upgrade from the prior monochromatic, calculator-like display of the ToneDexter I.

All of that is great, I was just hoping they would get released this month or even next month.

Thats a whole bunch of major upgrades - I know James would rather it be available sooner, but he also will insist it be right. If it is delayed (and I’m not sure it will) then it will be worth the wait. My fear is that it will be such a fantastic piece of kit, he’ll sell out the entire first shipment in no time - then the complaint will be the wait for more production -

Glad to see an update even if it’s not the kind of news I wanted.

As long as they’re making progress and keeping the “impatient waiters” informed then I’m happy to wait. I’ll be trying to get one ASAP but nothing would be worse than I’d they ship it with any serious issues. It’s already so late that nobody should be holding their breath.

I've held my breath for 9 months and would check the site daily. I was taken aback when it didn't release in May. But now I'm just waiting patiently, que sera sera, and all in God's timing. I do hope it gets released on Nov 1st at least, and not Nov 30th!

So many companies release updates with bugs. The delay is prudent and appreciated. And the dual source capability is a major plus.

For the sake of conversation- here’s my current acoustic board. I’m pretty darn happy with how my K&K’s sound through here- but I still haven’t found the right reverb pedal yet. Might try a JHS 3-series or an RV-5 or RV-6 next.

The TD II will replace basically all of this other than a reverb.

I have used a lot of reverb pedals, including a lot of high end ones. I prefer the Strymon Bluesy V2 for plate on acoustic guitar. Fantastic pedal.

Hi Rodrigo,
You like the blue sky V2 over uafx golden reverberator ?
Can you please point out a YouTube video in which you use it?

Hey there, Cuki, my friend!

I haven't used the BlueSky for recordings, but I do use it live. I tested the plate version of it with the Golden, both for vocals and acoustic guitar (using the Felix2 as platform for it), and I was able to dial a better sound to my ears with the BluesSky. Better, for me, is less metallic.

For acoustic it was really close. For vocals, the Strymon pedal is WAY better.

I hope that helps. I could record something using it, if you guys are interested.

I’d love to hear it. Finding reviews focused on acoustic use is pretty tough as I’m sure you’re aware.

As far as the Strymon stuff goes- I debated Big Sky vs RV500 for my electric rig and I’m glad I went that way for electric. I need to just break down that board and test the RV500 with my acoustics to see if that informs my decision at all.

My general feeling is that I likely only need one reverb sound for my playing, I just haven’t found “the one”. I like the relative simplicity of the blue sky but fear it may still be overkill for me.
