For Larrivee dreadnought fans: the LR Baggs HiFi is a good match for the Larrivee D-40M/D-40R Series and Traditional Series D-50/D-60 as the soundhole module sits perfectly on the small, angled soundhole brace between the X-brace and neck-area cross-brace without touching any of the larger bracing while enabling the module's controls to protrude just enough into the soundhole for easy access. I place mine on the treble-side small brace but the bass-side small brace is the same orientation just reversed. I really like the amplified tone of the LR Baggs HiFi in my Larrivee dreadnoughts of the above-mentioned series.

That's good news. I am still looking for a local chance to play one of the new Larrivee dreads. I haven't been able to find any locally and the ones I played in Wisconsin were lower models that didn't really have that sound I was looking for. On the other hand, I am playing my Larrivee L09 at tonight's event.

Ken,
That's a good sounding guitar. It does sort of remind me of a bigger version of my L09. I am going to invest a little more time to try and find one to play. In the meantime, I am checking out some custom Martin builds that should be interesting. I have been thinking about owning fewer guitars. I'm singing well again after treatment and have lots of opportunity to perform. It makes me happy for sure. But I don't adapt well between guitars like I used to. And, I'm looking at a minimum of a year of additional side effects. My hands simply don't cooperate. My feeling is that regardless of my desire for trying new guitars, my music will suffer if I don't find one guitar to play a majority of the time. Or, at the very least, settle on one comfortable neck shape and bridge spacing.
