Default Sale Pending 2019 Lowden FM35 AAAA Alpine Spruce/AAAA Fiddleback Mahogany

I am offering a 2019 Lowden FM35 for sale. If you are not familiar with the FM, this is George's answer to many requests over the years to do an OM sized guitar. The body is slightly shallower than a standard F (5/16" less for a total depth of 4 5/16"), making it more comfortable to play. This one is AAAA Alpine Spruce over AAAA Fiddleback Mahogany and it and the case, are in excellent condition. No dings or scratches, although there are some tiny pick marks on the pickguard. No cracks or other issues whatsoever. There are minor signs of playing, but otherwise looks almost as new. Always properly humidified, non smoking home.

The standard FMs are shipped with a "low profile" neck (NECK WIDTH Narrow 43.5mm at nut / 56mm at neck joint (1.71" / 2.20"). Fortunately, this one was ordered by Heartbreaker Guitars, with the standard Lowden neck. It's Mahogany / Rosewood, 1 3/4" (45mm) nut, 2 1/4" (57mm) string spacing, 25 1/2” (650mm) scale with a 16" (406mm) radius.

It is a wonderful guitar, but I am overflowing with mahogany. Still, I kept it for over two years because I enjoyed it so much. It's a dandy, even for a Lowden.

The price was $3450. It is now $3100. The original price was $6999. This is an amazing price for a 35 series Lowden, but I am downsizing and will have other equally amazing guitars for sale, including Tippen, McKnight, Heinonen, Gallagher, Martin, etc.

Please PM me with any questions.

Thank you,
Warren

Curious as to what the "FM" stands for. F-Medium maybe?

I think it means "figured mahogany" or perhaps "fiddleback mahogany".

No, the "FM" is a model number, & they come in all different woods, usually rosewood.

I would also consider a trade for a non-cutaway Petros, with dollars added to the Lowden for the trade.

Thank you,
Warren

I am going to bump this again. I cannot believe this amazing guitar has not sold at $3100. The least expensive Lowden 35 Series guitars I have found on the web are priced at $3900+, all with lesser woods.

Outstanding price on this guitar. Can't believe it's hanging around.
