Default Emerald Guitars Factory Tour

I found this to be interesting. These guitars are very labor intensive...

That was super interesting! I had no idea the amount of work that goes into building an Emerald guitar! These are truly premium, high end boutique instruments!

I hadn't seen the video and really enjoyed watching. Besides seeing the extensive amount of labor that goes into every Emerald, I really enjoyed the part about the operation of the PLEK machine. Watching this video should be a requirement for anyone contemplating the purchase of an Emerald...

A friend of mine took the factory tour about four years ago, before the expansion. He reported that the guitars require every bit as much labor as wood guitars -- and he builds guitars. That tour video was enjoyable when it first appeared, especially the part where Alistair stood on one (about 10:00).

I've been on tours at Martin and Huss & Dalton, and Emerald's set-up reminds me more of H&D than Martin. Looking at it through that lens, the instruments and their prices should be seen as coming from a boutique builder, not mass produced. As Alistair said, every guitar is custom built, whether speced out by and for a specific customer or for stock...

Excellent video! I can’t believe he stepped on one of the builds. All I was thinking if it broke was “Dear customer, there’s been a delay in your delivery date…” 😁

I’d like to see a tour of where the mugs are made as well.
