Are you planning to add a pickup or just play this one all acoustically?

No pickups planned, I use piezo transducers for measuring tone response, however, on the rare occasions I need to be amplified, I'm happy using mics.

That looks amazing, well done!
Maple is one of my favourite woods visually.

Here's a link to the same tune played on the sitka>maple and on my santa cruz OM .. names randomzed, shouldn't be hard to say which is which. I can do this better, but it's what I had time for, and the recording quality is good enough to show both guitars well (2 condenser mics, just as recorded).

What a cool guitar, Sadie! And I do think a cedar top might be cool over maple back and sides.

What a lovely bunch of woods you have managed to put together! I love the flaming on the maple!

What a tremendous project! Good for you! I bet it does sound articulate!

Wowza! Very beautiful right down to what looks to be a pyramid bridge. Love to see a person moving forward in so many ways. Thanx for sharing.

Of course it was one of your guitars that taught me what's possible with cedar top :-). I quite like this build with a spruce top, still, I'm committed to this experiment.

Thanks Glenn! She's good now, we'll see if cedar achieves better.

Beautiful guitar! I love the look of maple in general, one of my favorite trees of all time.

I am intrigued by the combination of cedar and maple. This combo has been on my future build list for at least three years.

If you do go ahead with this top change, please record some phrases or a tune with both the spruce and the cedar.
