NGD Furch OM-AR Deep Body
I got this guitar two weeks ago, so I’ve had some time to get to know it. This is a Furch Rainbow series guitar, which is top of their line, "rainbow" just means that there are some customization options (woods, size, decorations etc). More specifically it’s OM-AR Deep Body OM. Made in Czech Republic.
Specs: Neck-to-body joint 14th fret Solid top - Adirondack spruce Solid back and sides - grade Indian rosewood - master grade Binding Maple – body, fingerboard and headstock Purfling Five black and white lines Tail decoration Wedge of maple Rosette Double ring with abalone inlay Bridge Ebony Bridge pins Ebony with pearl dots Saddle TUSQ fully compensated Bridge string spacing 2 3/16 Pickguard Artificial tortoise Nut width 1 3/4 Neck reinforcement CNR System with dual-action adjustment Neck profile Furch Soft V Scale length 25 9/16 Fingerboard material Ebony Fingerboard inlay mother-of-pearl Side position markers Pearl dot position markers Fret finish Polished Headstock overlay Ebony Neck material African mahogany Machine heads Gotoh 510 Nickel patina with ebony buttons Machine head buttons Polished ebony Nut TUSQ First, I think this guitar is very well built overall. There are no imperfections etc, everything feels solid and well built. The woods look very good. It comes with Hiscox case. Action was quite high out of the box. Fortunately, lowering the strings from the saddle was easy, as my luthier said that there was a shim under the saddle. Furch also provided few additional shims. Action at the nut was also high, as the nut slots were high, so they had to be filed. After the setup it feels easy to play and enjoyable. It weighs 2010grams (70,9 ounces). This guitar had no pickup from the factory, I had KK Mini installed, and it was neat job as it needed no drilling. Tuners feel very precise with 1:21 gear ratio. Soundwise I’m still getting to know it, but I can say that this guitar is very loud, it is much louder than many dreadnoughts I have played. Highs are bell like and profound. Note separation seems good, maybe it is because of the Adi top. I wouldn’t consider the sound “warm” or mellow. It has Elixir stings on, I’ll definitely try some other stings later and maybe I’ll get some mellower or more warm sound out of it later. I have some photos and two videos with some strumming and flatpicking. Those videos are recorded with my phone so their sound quality is not good, they are just to give you a general idea of the sound. Congrats on the new Furch!
The fit and finish of these guitars is amazing. Every time I take my Furch Yellow out of the case I take a few moments to appreciate it.

Big giant congratulations are in order! That really looks like something special.
You must be thrilled. To warm up the sound, try picking/strumming a little further up, more centered over the soundhole. (As you say, it may take a different set of strings to find the perfect sound you’re after.)

Very nice! Congrats on the new Furch. I wonder if it's standard for them to send them out with a saddle shim. I found one in my Little Jane the first time I took the saddle out.

Congrats! Beautiful Guitar! I just found out about Furch 3 weeks ago and got myself a Vintage 3 D-SR 2 weeks ago. Great sounding and very well made guitars. I think the band profile will go way up once more people learn what great guitars they are making in the Czech Republic.

Little update on this.
It has now opened up quite nicely, at first it was little bit stiff, maybe because of the adirondack spruce. Now it is very responsive and has great bass because of the deep body. It has also gotten some sun tan so it also looks better. I have KK mini installed on this and I use it as my main guitar
