Default Nail help

I am a full-on natural nail fingerstyle player - or at least hope to be. I have grown my nails out, as you an see below. Forunately, my nails are strong. Unfortunately, the index and middle ones tend to hook at the end.
I'd be obliged for any help or suggestions for shaping and finishing them. Where can I remove some of the nail mass. To the extent it does not show, the length is just a bit beyond the finger tip, though a bit more so with the thumb. I do have a Wolfram file I use to try to take some of the hook out.
Obliged
David

Hi David. Here’s a link that clearly shows what I was about to try to explain:

https://www.quora.com/Do-longer-nail...l-to-be-longer

Scroll down the page to see some photos describing the slightly asymmetrical shape your nails should have when properly filed. As for the hooking, maybe try applying nail hardener but only from just behind the white of your nails (not the entire nail). More rigidity on the top surface might keep them from curving once out beyond the fingertips (and keep them relatively short, imho, just as you can see in the photos).

I get hooks on my nails, too. I just file under the mail a little, with a glass file or some fine sandpaper.

Yep, that is what I do as well. If you do not yet have one, the Wolfram glass file is brilliant.

Indeed. So you have tomorrow covered, too.
Well played.
