Just measured my customs with the same ruler and they are dead on at 1 13/16.

This reminds me of the Larrivee OM-50 I use to own that had an 1 1/16” nut when it was supposed to be 1 3/4”. Turns out a handful of them got out of the factory with narrow nut.
If yours measures 1 11/16” than that’s what it is. Mistakes happen.

My guess is someone just put the wrong neck blank in the pile...

I remember when the first run of the OM50's came out that had 1 11/16. Every time I saw one pop up used I made sure and asked before I got too interested.
