I'm trying to transition from a Vulcan grip. I've only been playing for 2 years, so I need to transition from poor posture and the death grip.

Excellent teacher, great, well organized course online and you can do it for free through intermediate levels (donations and add on purchases available but not required). It has an attached online “community” which is very supportive and kind.

It will augment in person lessons well.
I have it bookmarked for further reading when I get home from work! Thanks for the tip. I really appreciate it.

I used to visit his site and cherry pick his lessons, much to my benefit especially before I learned the fretboard, the triads, scales, etc. But I never stuck with him systematically, because I found him more dry and repetitive than inspiring. He’s doing a great service to people who want to learn the basics of guitar, and I thank him for it, but he’s a jack of all trades who doesn’t excel at any one kind of playing, and he apparently lacks any voice of his own.

Use what resources work for you, but also be sure to stay inspired musically, song-wise.
