I use Forscore, heard it was better for notation. But since I have not used anything else, how would I really now? it works fine for me.

Another vote for ForScore. Its brilliant, but i havent deep dived into the alternatives.

I've been using unrealBook for years. Have it on an ancient iPad that I manage with an 11 year old MacBook. I make pdf files with my own charts (almost 600 songs) in Pages. I keep all the old tech just for this. It's not too precious, so I can take it to gigs and leave it set up. No one's trying to steal an iPad 2 from 2011.
