Trade my Gibson vintage 1960 J-45 for your Martin
I have a beautiful 1960 Gibson J-45 ADJ that I would like to trade for a Martin preferably a smaller bodied style as I do not prefer dreadnoughts thus the trade.
I also would prefer something 1969 or earlier and what I’m really looking for is a war time/pre war 00-17. I inherited this guitar from a family member who knew I played guitar a few years back and I am the second owner. It was purchased here in Southern California by a professional touring musician who used it to write music. I also inherited his 1945 000-28 which I play daily now while the J-44 sits in the case. The guitar sounds and plays amazing, and it should be played more than the attention I give it. Again I really don’t like bigger bodied guitars so it’s really the only reason I’m looking to trade. That said I am a Martin guy at this point so that’s what I’m looking for. The Gibson is in great shape overall and other than a bridge reglue, it has had no work. Action is perfect with a lot of saddle left. The neck is in amazing condition! So are the back and sides. It had a couple of top cracks that have been recently professionally repaired as and the guitar needs nothing. It’s is set up perfect ready to go. It also has had the famous adjustable bridge retrofit that was done by my luthier after I received it. He used really Brazilian old stock to do it and it came out amazing! The guitar will also come with all of the original parts, and you can put it back to original in matter of a few minutes. Frets are in awesome shape overall with a little finger board wear but overall in very nice shape. I would estimate the trade value of this guitar is around $6,000.00 Thanks for looking Last edited by Dwood11; 05-31-2023 at 03:30 PM. Reason: Needed to ad value of guitar I’m trying to trade. |

OP, just a heads up but forum rules require a trade value to be listed. |
