Yes, Leo is special, one of quite few makers that do carved rosettes.

Oh wow! I've always loved these styles of carved rosettes - perhaps my favourite of all designs. I always wondered what Ervin and Leo were using the for background, so it's interesting to see it appears to be felt.

The 'Tree' Mahogany is no slouch in the looks department either!

Yes, this rosette has been on my radar for years. I'ts great Leo is in the carving business!

I believe it's a type of Japanese paper, wich is held in place by the wooden ring.
